Rene Villegas

Rene loved spending quality time with his family and his partner, Armida Gutierrez. He enjoyed many hobbies including music, cooking and grilling, fishing, and collecting guitars.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Umberto Nicholas Villegas, paternal grandparents Umberto and Rosa Villegas, and maternal grandparents Eduardo and Rebecca Barrera.

His memory will be forever cherished by his partner, Armida Gutierrez, parents Umberto Villegas Jr. and Beatrice Villegas, brother Ricky Villegas, sisters Cecilie Marie Sharpless and Irma Denise Jantes, brothers-in-law Tony Sharpless and Jose Jantes, nieces and nephews Felecia Sharpless, Tony Sharpless Jr., Andrew Sharpless, Faith Sharpless, Jose Jantes Jr., Joaquin Jantes, Julian Jantes, Jaime Jantes, Jovanni Jantes, Josiah Jantes, great nieces Emerie Sharpless and Amelia Sharpless, and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, located at 2910 Corn Valley Rd., Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A Rosary will take place at 11:00AM, Mass at 12:00PM, and a Committal will follow at 1:00PM at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens.
