Ruth Augusta (Finstrom) Cohen, 87, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015.
Ruth was born and raised in Buxton, ND. She married Norman Cohen on October 13, 1950, in Quincy, IL. They had four children before moving to Texas in 1956. Ruth worked for Texas Instruments for 29 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and playing Bingo.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mabel Finstrom; husband, Norman Cohen; son, Bruce Cohen; and daughter, Sheila Stacy.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Smith and Bradley Cohen; grandchildren, Chris Cohen, Amy Mills, Chad Cohen, and Kayla Smith; great-grandchildren, Jacob Mills, Sierra Medina, Serinity Medina, Laney Sandhagen, and Quinn Cohen; and brother, Alton (Pat) Finstrom.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 1st, from 3-5 p.m. at Bean Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2nd, at 10 a.m. at Southland Memorial Cemetery, 1100 SW 3rd St, Grand Prairie, TX 75051.
