Sharon grew up in Oak Cliff, Texas and remained an Oak Cliff girl at heart till the very end. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1968. While attending school in Oak Cliff, she became good friends with a boy named Henry. In the 7th grade they began dating and when they were seniors they couldn’t wait any longer and got married February 23, 1968. In 1971, they started their family and moved to Grand Prairie, Texas.
Sharon worked for Sears; she started in the mail room at 15 years old and worked her way to doing the books. After 40 years she retired from her first and only job. Sharon was a considerate woman who could make you feel loved like no other. The true definition of self-less she only thought of others. She was a team mom for her son’s sports team and a cheer sponsor for her daughter. Sharon loved to shop, especially at Canton. She was funny and bubbly and always taking photos. She never wanted to miss the chance to make or capture a memory.
Above all her family was the most important thing in her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, Nina and caring sister. She was very accepting, did her best to never miss any children’s event and was always proud on her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Mexico, Las Vegas, Tennessee, Rocky Mountains and more.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents: James Kelly Avery and Betty Jean Bullard Avery; and brother Rick Avery.
She is survived by her husband Henry E. Stovall Jr., daughter Kelli Stovall-Tallent and her husband Garlon Tallent Jr., son, Justin H. Stovall and his wife Danielle, grandchildren: Jordan Dyess, Dakota Tallent, Rhett Stovall, Wade Stovall, Grace Stovall, sister Kim Hauck and her husband Tim and their children: Taylor Hauck, Taryn Hauck, Tristan Hauck; niece Jessica Harle and her husband J.W., great nieces: Elliott Harle, Maggie Harle; aunt Bobbie Paty and numerous cousins.
There will be no services held through Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, the family will have a private memorial at a later date.
