

A perpetual beacon of love and light, Ann passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by family on September 13, 2017. She was born to Joseph and Margaret (Gleason) Warren 69 years ago in Windsor, Ontario. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 31 years, Mark Thelen, her children Michelle (Christian) Converse, Holly (David) Garces, Christine Thelen, Sean (Elizabeth) Thelen, and her step-daughter Cori Wagner; her brothers Mark (Cheryl) Warren, Donald (Rebecca) Warren, Paul Warren, and her sisters Mary (Gary) Renaud and Catherine (Mitchell) Temesy; her grandchildren Caroline Converse, Olivia Converse, Dakota Wagner, Samantha Wagner, Ishmael Garces; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Michael Kern. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brother Kevin Warren. Ann had boundless spunk. As a proud Canadian who moved to her adopted home of the United States at age 19, she built a life around caring for her family and wrapping countless others in the warmth of her gentle care. Above all, her devotion to her Christian faith always shone through in her tireless support, kindness, and fellowship for all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial has been scheduled at 11am on Monday, September 18, 2017 at St. Alphonsus Church, (224 Carrier Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI) with Rev. Patrick Grile, C.S.s.R. presiding. Visitation will be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Sunday September 17, 2017 from 4-8pm with the reading of the Rosary at 7:30pm. A second visitation will take place for one hour prior to the funeral at church. Ann will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery (2000 Walker Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Public Library, your favorite animal shelter, or a cause of your choice.
