Barbara A. Weiland, aged 94, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and dear friend, was reunited with her husband Bill in heaven on May 10, 2014. Barb was born on November 1, 1919 in Pierson, Michigan to the late Bill and Grace Black. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, her first husband L. Donald Chase, husband William G. Weiland, and her great-grandson Timothy A. Orean. In her younger years, she worked for the telephone company before dedicating all of her time to raising a family. Surviving are her children Susan Doyle, Patrick (Sherri) Weiland, Julie (Rick) Eldridge; grandchildren P. Sean Orean, Timothy J. Orean, Mary Ellen Sheehan; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Donald Weiland; and dear friends Cozette Davis and Bette Swartz. Barbara will be remembered as an active PTA member, passionate volunteer and a loving caring friend. Throughout the years she volunteered for both American Red Cross and Acset, working as many as 3 full days a week up until she was 90. She enjoyed time with friends and family, especially the grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Grace Hospice and the entire staff of Heartland Greenview for the tender, loving care you provided for Barb. Services celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Please consider a memorial contribution in memory of Barbara A. Weiland to Grace Hospice or the Acset Food Pantry.
