

Claudette Faith Thiemkey, age 89 of Grand Rapids, MI passed peacefully into her Savior’s arms on May 30, surrounded by her children. She was born to William and Frances Culp on December 9, 1936 in Petoskey, MI and graduated from Petoskey High School in 1954.
Claudette loved Jesus and her family deeply and poured her heart into those she loved. She believed in the power of prayer, loved God’s Word and had a true servant’s heart. She was a devoted wife to her husband Richard (Dick) for 56 years until he passed away in 2016. Claudette loved the beauty of birds and flowers and she loved crafts, reading and word searches. She was an avid Detroit Tigers and Michigan State fan.
She will be lovingly remembered by her 4 children, April (Steve) Schaub, Yvonne Jackson, Jean Ann Rogers, Richard (Jodi) Thiemkey; 7 grandchildren, Paige (Walker) Head, Dakoda Thiemkey, Marshall Thiemkey, Makena Thiemkey, Carston (Cera) Thiemkey, Kyran Thiemkey and Cameron Brown; 3 great grandchildren, Steven Campbell Head, William Beckett Head and Landen Walker Head; and her siblings Nina Graham, Henry (Carol) Culp, Keith Culp, William (Theresa) Culp; and many other family members and friends.
Claudette’s legacy of faith and love will live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 9 at the Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave, NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505, with Pastor Bryan Walmer officiating. Visitation is at 10:00 and the service is at 11:00 with a light lunch to follow.
