Cyndi Lee DeRivera

Cyndi Lee DeRivera, age 64, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Franklin Bryan and Pearl Bryan and siblings, Arthur Joseph Bryan and Joan "Joanie" Carpenter.

Cyndi is survived by her husband, Geronimo, of 24 years, her children; Carmen Marie DeRivera, Angela “Angie” Rose DeRivera, Melissa Nadine (Luke) Cooper, Daniel William (Laura) DeRivera, Russell Bryan Barrenger, her grandchildren; Bryana, Gabriel, Kierstyn, Braelyn, Joseph, Aiden, Allecya, D'Angelo, Amaya, Nathaniel, Gabrielle and Logan.

Cyndi will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be remembered for her love of bingo, playing pool and playing cards. Cyndi especially loved her dog, Rocky and her other dogs who were there to greet her in Heaven. Cyndi had an extensive movie collection and loved watching movies and different TV shows. She was a very religious woman, and lived her life by the saying that “God has a plan.” She was a member for many years at St. James Catholic Church. Cyndi adored her husband, children and her grandchildren and loved spending time with them and making new memories.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6th from 1-5 PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel. There will be a rotation of 25 people in the building at a time.

A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, December 7th at 11 AM at the Basilica of St. Adalbert, 654 Davis Ave NW, Grand Rapids.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
