Dale Jennetta Phipps

Dale Jennetta Phipps, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, while surrounded by her loving family. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 35 years Hubert Phipps; children Peggy Phipps, Dale E. (Brenda) Phipps, Theresa (Don) Vansickle, Marcia (Dave) Turner, Brian (Pam) Thompson, and Kevin Thompson; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and sisters Gloria and Patsy. She is preceded in death by her sister Amber Walker and brother George Yearian. Those close to Dale knew that she had a passion for cosmetology and was always admired for her nails. Another love of hers was arts & crafts, and she frequently sported the jewelry that she would make. But the one thing that she loved above all else was her family whom she always held close to her heart. In her younger years Dale moved frequently until finally settling down in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While in Grand Rapids, she was employed at the Burger King on Plainfield Ave. The family will be greeting friends on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 12-1 PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel; 2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505. The service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Memorial contributions in Dale’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
