Daniel Eckley

Daniel D Eckley of Grand Rapids died Friday, July 7, 2017, at the age of 55. He was born February 15, 1962 in St. Johns, MI, the son of Duane and Carol (Weller) Eckley. He enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing, driving around in his Audi S4, reading books, and spending time with his family. Dan worked at Preferred Tool and Die as a journeyman tool and die maker, specializing in CNC machining and programming for the past 28 years. On August 28, 1987, he married Carla Stump, and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Danielle (Eric Davidson) Eckley of Comstock Park, MI, Michelle (Jacob) Drumm of Killeen, TX, Dylan (Lauren Barrett) Eckley of Jacksonville, NC. Also surviving are his grandson, Trenton and granddaughter Emerald; mother, Carol Eckley; sibling, Mark (Nana) Eckley, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Eckley. A private viewing was held for immediate family members. The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Avenue, NE, Grand Rapids, MI from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
