After high school, Daniel joined the United States Army and bravely served in Vietnam. He and his family relocated to Grand Rapids in 1986, where some of his family were already living.
Daniel was very passionate about baseball. He played on several teams for over 20 years, as well as coached and managed many teams. When he wasn’t on the field, he could be found watching baseball on TV. He also enjoyed watching boxing. At any family event, party, or just at a neighborhood get together, Daniel enjoyed playing dominoes with family and friends.
Daniel is survived by his daughters Vicky (Bryan) Rosario and Carla (Xavier) Rosario; son Daniel Gomez; four grandchildren; as well as many brothers and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Sunday, November 27 at 4:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel, where family will receive visitors for one hour prior. Burial will take place on Monday, November 28 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
