Condolences to Doyle's family; I just learned of his death. We "met" on the eBay soapbox where I was enamored of his wit and consequently visited with him a few times in Grand Rapids. I hadn't spoken to him in a couple of years, but I am saddened to learn that I never will again. :(

Doyle was a close friend when I lived and worked at St Mary's.  We had many good times when we played softball.  Doyle will be missed by many.  I was there when Teri and him had the kids.  He was a great person and the world will be much less now that he has passed.  My deepest condolences to his family and other friends.

I'm trying to think how I got to know Doyle at GROH.....and I now only have great memories of him and our friendship. Doyle would stop in my office regularly with a cup of coffee and a smile. It was always good to see him. When he left we both were always laughing. It was a joy to know him. I could say so much more. To Doyle's sons...you had a great father who always wanted the best for you. Peace to you, Doyle. I will miss you.

I was Doyle's supervisor the last couple of years and it didn't matter how good or bad our days where we always walked away from each other with a smile! I miss you Doyle! My thoughts and prayers go out to  friends and family.

So sorry to hear about Doyle..I worked with Doyle at Barnes.It was a pleasure to get to know him.I know he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.Prayers for the family during this difficult time.

I had the privilege of working with Doyle at "GROH". We worked together during the early years of building the Cardio Pulmonary Department. He was a kind man and Cared about people.My sympathies to all his family.

Doyle also hired me as a brand new RRT fresh from Ferris State in 1978.  How the years have passed.  Doyle's mentoring was rock solid and pointed me in positive directions for a wonderful career in healthcare.  Thank you old friend.  I know you touched many professionals lives and many more lives of those in need.  My heart goes out to your family and friends.

Doyle reported to me for a number of years at Metroolitan Hospital. He was the key in developing the Cardio Pulmonary department to ofer a full service program. He was given full credit for initiating the Ventilator Dependency Unit which was the only one in a hospital. This program admitted patients from other states and was recognized as a leader. Doyle was very intelligent and had a number of skills. He used to write some of the early drafts of legal documents for the hospital. He was one of the unsung heroes who today would be called  Metro's Best. He was a person with determination and a sense of humor as well. I treasured our relationship and found him to be a loyal and dedicated person. His children can be proud of him as I knew him.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Doyle hired me fresh from Ferris State College and thus began my career at Metro. I have many fond memories of him over the years that he was my boss both in Respiratory Therapy and the Sleep Lab. My thoughts are with his family!

I met Doyle at the book store on the corner that was like no other.  It was full of old books and odd curios and Doyle who was glad to see you and invited you to stay as long as you wished.  I got to know Doyle when we both worked together at Barnes Research. Doyle had an uncanny knack for getting a lot of complete studies.  His secret was that he enjoyed talking with people and was interested in what they had to say.  He showed that same interest in all of us.

Doyle may you laugh in Heaven as you did on on Earth. It was always fun when I rotated thru Metro  with Doyle. He will be missed what a good Human Being  this earth needs more of his kind.

Doyle hired me when he was the Manager at Metro. He allowed me to help him in creating the Sleep Lab. He was amazing to work with and for. I have many good memories of the years working for him.  I will always remember him as one of the "good guys".  My sincerest sympathy to his family; I am truly sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry for your loss. Doyle was a wonderful, kind person and we will all miss his sweet smile. He was a joy to work with and an asset to our company. His Friends At Barnes Research are praying for your family.

Doyle was my boss at Metro for many years, as well. I have numerous fond memories of this wonderful man.  Please take comfort knowing that he had a profoundly positive impact on many lives.

Doyle hired me at Metro Hospital (GROH then)in 1983 and was a great manager.  I will never forget his friendliness, humor and fairness.  I have many great memories of him.
