Ethel Jane Price Freer

E. Jane Freer of Wyoming MI passed away on Sunday May 28, 2017. She was born in the Fall of 1941 in Philadelphia PA to James and Ethel Price who, along with her sister Barbara (David) Allen, preceded her in death. Jane earned her nursing degree from Blodgett Hospital and her MSN degree from Wayne State University. She was a nurse at Blodgett and St Mary’s hospitals, and went on to teach nursing at Mercy Central School of Nursing. For much of her life she enjoyed drawing and oil painting. She also cared for animals and others. Because of this, she started the cancer support group at Blodgett Hospital and the prayer shawl ministry at St. Andrews Church. She will be missed deeply by her loved ones. Jane is survived by her son Jim (Adriana) Freer, daughter Jane (Mike) Griffith, and grandchildren Amber Terry, Emily (Drew) Magnussen, Ashley Terry, Michelle (Jess) Terry-Mete, Andrew Griffith, Aidan Freer Martinez, and nephews Matt and Marc Allen. The Family will receive visitors at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 10am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am. In lieu of flowers Jane has requested that donations be made to Alternative Pathways, (912 Ardmore St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507).
