Geno Frank Mosketti aged 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis in 1999 and all of his brothers and sister. Geno will be lovingly remembered by his children; David Mosketti, Kristine Kerkhoff, Daniel Mosketti, Gina (Dave) Chester, Sandra Mosketti, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Geno was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of Post 258. He spent his professional career as a truck driver and was a longtime member of the Teamsters. He loved to cook and eat and was a longtime member of St Alphonsus Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at St. Alphonsus, 224 Carrier St NE with Rev Bernie Carlin C.Ss.R. as celebrant. Interment will be in Fairplains Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 PM and 1 hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. The Rosary will be prayed 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to American Heart Association or the Friends of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
