Gerald Henry Visser, Jr. age 67 passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2026. Jerry was born in Grand Rapids on April 27, 1958 the youngest of three children born to Gerald & Joyce (Shearer) Visser, Sr.
A man of great faith, Jerry was an active member of Berkley Hills Church where he served on many committees and assisted wherever help was needed. He will also be remembered for his love of animals, especially his favorite dogs Louie the Beagle and Woman the Rottweiler.
Jerry is survived by his mother Joyce; his sisters Linda (Michael) Denney and Beth Ann (Tim McKey) Visser; his best friend Nick Rodriguez and Nick’s son Zach; his nieces and nephews: Jodi (Lonnie) Harley, Chad (Miranda) Latimer and Jamie Denney; his great nieces and nephews; Payton, Alanna, Braden, Brody and Bentley and his great-great niece and nephew: PJ and Alianna.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Gerald in 2010 and a great-nephew Justin Kaczmarczyk.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Berkley Hills Church: 1670 Ball Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan where the family will greet friends starting at 10:30 a.m. Private interment will be at Plainfield Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berkley Hills Church.
