James Rodney Burkholder passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on January 16, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Jim was a Truck Driver and longtime resident of Grand Rapids. He served his country in the Army National Guard from 1979 - 1984.
He is survived by his loving wife, Grace Burkholder of Grand Rapids, MI; children, Brandy Lynn Coleman of River Rogue, MI, Jamie Lisa Elaina, Betina Delores Burkholder of Saginaw, MI, Lisa Cruz (Jose) of Jenison, MI, Daniel Burkholder of Grand Rapids, MI; 12 grandchildren; father, Rev. David A Burkholder of Grand Rapids, MI; siblings-in-law, Pam Burkholder of Hudsonville, MI; Bill Staal (Bev) of Grandville, MI, Mart Staal (Gail) of Ada, MI, Joel Staal (Denise) of Grand Rapids, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11am at Berkley Hills Church, 1670 Ball Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
