Joseph F. Booker passed away in the company of his family on March 4, 20016 at age 95. Joseph served his country in the U.S. Army in WWII as a Staff Sargent and was stationed at several bases in Germany and France. He was predeceased by his wife Susie and daughter Jessica (Booker) Smith as well as by his Sisters Elizabeth, Juanita, Dotsie, Thelma and Carol; Brothers Lawrence, Floyd, Edward and Kenneth. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Barbara (Stephen) Steakley; stepson John Shelton; Brother Frederick (Wilma) Booker; Grandchildren Leslie (Nimo) Littles, Nicole Littles, Monica Jones, Regine Lewis Burkett, and Sidney Smith as well as many great grandchildren. Funeral services with military honors will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans with burial following in the Home's Cemetery.
