Kathie Jean Lehman

Kathie Lehman, Age 67, of Plainfield Township, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ October 31, 2025. She was born in Grand Rapids Michigan to parents Wilson and Rose Apkarian on September 1, 1958. Kathie graduated from Union High School in 1976 and soon after began working at Advanced Packaging where she worked for thirty four years, retiring in 2010 to babysit for her first grandchild (Addy). She also would lovingly babysit for her other three granddaughters, Abby, Brielle and Ava.

Kathie was married to Paul Lehman for forty seven years. She always enjoyed telling people how she met Paul in Junior Achievement when she was fifteen years old. Kathie and Paul married four years later beginning a loving relationship that is still going strong. Both Kathie and Paul have a strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and attended New Community Church where Kathie had many friends whom she loved.

She loved to do scrapbooking with her sister-in-law (Karen) who earlier went to be with our Lord. Kathie mentioned often how much she missed Karen, and I know took comfort in knowing that she would be with her again in heaven.

Kathie is survived by her children Andrea Jorgensen, Brett Lehman and Michelle V’Dovick (Michael) and granddaughters Addy Jorgensen, Abby Lehman, Brielle Lehman and Ava Kasnowicz. Kathie loved spending time with her kids and granddaughters reading to them and playing games which always included much laughter. She was an excellent Cribbage player!!

Kathie was preceded in death by her father (Wilson), mother (Rose), sisters (Dyanne, Patricia and Susan). She has a surviving brother (Willy) of San Antonio, Texas.
