Mary L. (VandenBrink) McKenzie, aged 76 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerritt and Laura VandenBrink, and her neighbor and close friend, Betty Roest. Surviving are her children, Robert (Lisa) McKenzie II. of Wyoming, MI., Laurie (Art) Campione of Sand Lake, MI., Lisa McKenzie, Tim (Sharon) McKenzie both of Grand Rapids; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Her brother, Gordon (Joan) VandenBrink of Jenison, many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Mary was born in Grand Rapids, graduated from Central High School in 1952, she retired from A.T.&T. after over 20 years of service, she loved to play cards with her friends, traveled throughout the United States, and loved her children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel. If you would like to pay your respects to Mary, please visit the chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
