On March 31, 2018 Our Dad Mike “checked out,” and made his ascent into Heaven, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Mike is survived by his daughter Michele (Mark) Klint, son Joe Butler, daughter Libby Butler (Chad Coselmon) , granddaughters Camryn and Charley, grandsons Hudson and Owen, and his “best girl ever,” Diane Smith and family.
Mike retired from Meijer, Inc. after 42 years of service to enjoy Diane’s company and pursue his hobbies.
As an avid sportsman he loved hunting, fishing, and being outside where he took great pride in his gardening abilities.
Mike was outgoing and a real people person, making new friends wherever he was with his witty humor and practical jokes. He loved to entertain whether picking his guitar or playing pick-n-spin with his vast CD collection.
Through the years, Mike developed relationships and memories with family and many dear friends that will be everlasting. Celebration of Mike’s life to be determined, family and friends to be notified.
