

On May 12, 2014, Norman Gerald McIntosh, aged 83, went to be with his Lord and was reunited with his parents and four siblings that had preceded him in death. Norman was born on January 26, 1931 in Dearborn, Michigan. He proudly served his country with the United States Army and was honorably discharged on December 21, 1952. Soon after, he married Mary Elizabeth Wilson and together the two would raise a family and enjoy nearly 61 years as husband and wife. Surviving Norman are his wife Mary; their children, Norman Michael (Teri) McIntosh, Mary Elizabeth McIntosh, Eric (Debbie) McIntosh, David McIntosh; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norman also leaves behind his brother LeRoy (Doris) McIntosh, and many friends. Norman was an active volunteer with the Grand Rapids Police Department Senior Volunteers, and bass drummer for the Grand Rapids Bagpipe Band. Please join his family for visitation from 10-11am with a memorial service beginning at 11am on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Reyers North Valley Chapel with Pastor Jeff Carlson of Oakhill Presbyterian Church officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Norman may be made to the American Cancer Society or Oakhill Presbyterian Church.
