Patrick William Regan was born on April 27th, 1947 in Mankato, Minnesota. He passed away in his home in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday, June 5th, 2020. Pat was a Vietnam Veteran and a patriot until the end. He was a pilot, college professor later in life, and he had an entrepreneurial spirit. He was a musician and a poet. Pat had a captivating singing voice, often enjoyed by friends, family and patrons during karaoke night at his favorite restaurant, Cheer's. He was a once-in-a-lifetime friend. He was generous and gave so much to so many. He made the world's best chocolate chip cookies, but could have used a little more spice in his dinner recipes. He had strong opinions and an even stronger will to have things done his way. He had a million stories, possibly because he could tell the same ones a few different ways. He was a Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and a Husband. He was tough love, but he was always there for his kids when they needed him. They loved him for that and more. He was truly loved and cared for by his wife. They were real partners and their time together was far too short. He will be remembered, loved, and missed forever. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, June 13th at Reyers North Valley Chapel. The service will be held outside to allow more people to attend. Pat will receive Military Funeral Honors immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, his family has requested donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
