Pete “Diamond” VanderVeen passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 27, 2014. He is preceded by his parents, Peter and Gladys VanderVeen, brother Don and sisters, Marilyn and Betty. Pete is survived by his daughters Holli (Scott Barcheski) VanderVeen and Jami (Josh) Waclawski; his grandchildren Sydney and Jesse Julian, and Payton, Ashton, and Jackson Waclawski. He is also survived by his sister Mick (Jerry) Young and special nephew Dan VanderVeen. Pete enjoyed several hobbies and past times. The most notable is his love of Karaoke, having performed his songs by his favorite musician, Neil Diamond. Pete was also an avid Classic Mustang collector and restorer. He often enjoyed his time out on the boat occasionally fishing and had a passion for hunting.
