

Hall, Richard Willis Of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Grand Rapids, MI at the age of 85. Richard was born July 1, 1931 in Ogden, Utah to Rouse Adair and Annie Sullivan Hall. After graduating from Weber High School in Ogden, Richard went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1948 -1952 as Fire Chief on Okinawa and later at Fort Custer in Battle Creek, MI where he met his wife, Margaret Joann Fox. Richard spent 32 years working as Manager in Men's Suits at Coles in Battle Creek and Rogers Department Store in Wyoming, MI. Richard was a true family man who cared deeply about raising his children to be caring, responsible citizens. He also valued the many friendships he developed over his lifetime. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Elwyn; and granddaughter, Riley Monroe. He is survived by his best friend and partner, Ruth Ellen Schoen; and his 5 children, Cindi Makuch of Phoenix, AZ and Patricia (Michael) Truden of Boise, ID; Terry Hall of Tucson, AZ, Brian (Toy) Hall of West Point, UT and Steve (Kim) Hall of East Grand Rapids, MI; sisters, Helen Jenson of Ogden, UT, Reva Cash of Layton, UT and Pat Hardy of Mesquite, NV; brother, David Hall of Riverdale, UT and 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2-4 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Reyers North Valley Chapel.
