Richard Carl Jacobs

Richard Carl Jacobs, aged 86, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Ralph A. and Cecil (Fuller) Jacobs, brother Ralph “Jake” and sister Margaret, and special friend Mickie Jane McKay. Surviving are his extended family William and Kathleen (McKay) Reynolds, grandchildren William (Julia) Reynolds, Robert (Tracee Cheney) Reynolds, Michelle (Thomas) Barnes, Melissa (David) Ishbia, Brian Reynolds; great-grandchildren Liam Reynolds, Colin Barnes, Edward Ensing, Connor Cheney, and Carson Cheney. Richard was proud of his military service and was a Korean War Veteran having served in the Army. He was a plant manager at Kent Manufacturing until his retirement after many years of devoted service. Richard had many hobbies and passions, enjoying things like photography and astronomy. He had several aquariums holding many tropical fish. He delighted in playing tennis and working on his flowers in the garden. Richard was also known for hosting wonderful pool parties. Richard’s family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of both Porter Hills and Emmanuel Hospice for the kind and loving care they showed. Please join the family for a time of visitation on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 6-8pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. The funeral service to honor Richard’s life will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11am with an additional hour visitation to be held from 10-11am.
