Robert (Bob) Allen Reinink, 62, of Grand Rapids, MI, unexpectedly passed away on December 13, 2025. Bob was born in Grand Rapids on February 20, 1963. He graduated from Creston High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, as well as his CPA accreditation. Bob had successful careers as both a CPA and a business owner and was the founder of Take It For Granite, which he later sold.
He is survived by his best friend, the love of his life, and former wife, Tari Reinink; his children, Vincent and Vivian Reinink; his brothers, Mike Reinink and Dave (Suzanne) Reinink; his sisters, Sue Meyerholtz (Ron), Kathy Bierens (Jim), Marea Horrell (John), Cindy Straka (Tim), Barb Thompson (Carl), and Carol Reinink (friend Randy); and many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harv and Gail Reinink.
Bob will be remembered as a generous and big-hearted man who loved his family deeply. He was the life of the party—his booming voice often announcing his arrival before he entered a room—and he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at ease. Bob cherished Daddy/Daughter dates and loved involving his children in everyday life, especially taking his son to work with him, where he proudly promoted him to Vice President at the ripe age of five. This was just one of the many ways Bob showed how proud he was to be a father. He absolutely adored his dogs, Lucy and Violet, and missed Lucy dearly after her passing. Bob was a devoted Michigan State University basketball fan (Go Green!) and a passionate supporter of Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
A visitation will be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a time of sharing at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Catherine Reinink and Henry Bengelink Scholarship Fund, established through Calvin University in Bob’s grandmother’s memory.
