Sandy was one of the classiest ladies I've ever known.  She had tact, was smart, took the backseat to no one and was the true Momma Bear to her family. Everything that I had seen her do, whether it be making beautiful handmade gifts, or laying out a special occasion meal, always left the "WOW" effect.  She was incredible.  Her dedication and love for her family and true friends had no boundaries of distance or the amount of seemingly effortless work she put into each detail. She carried genuine concern and love that was there for each heartache or joy of the occasion.  Sandy & Chris together raised a beautiful family with an adherence to a code of values that I am sure will continue for generations to come. Her legacy is strong, beautiful and funny and she will be well remembered by many.
I was fortunate enough to become her sister-in-law, and she definitely left an impression in my soul. This lady was wonderfully admired and loved.
She lives in all our hearts.

Sending my sincere condolences to Sandy's entire family: Chris, Her Mom, Marcy, Randy, her children & grandchildren. Sandy was my childhood friend, a friend for life. We were bridesmaids in each others weddings & even tho I moved to Minnesota many years ago, we remained close. Every time we spoke or saw each other, it was as if we had been together the whole time. Visiting Michigan will never be the same without Sandy. I will miss her personality & her contagious laughter. She was the main 'glue' that held the RHS Class of '68 together. She loved her family & her friends beyond words. I will keep all of you in my thoughts & prayers forever. I'm so sorry that I couldn't be there, but Sandy will always share a big part of my heart. It's just so sad that she left us way too soon. My heartfelt sympathy.

Those of us who knew and loved her have lost a vibrant,  lovely, and irreplaceable person.    I will dearly miss her knocking on my camper door, even though she was a 'morning' person, and... I am not.

Sandy and I were teaching partners for many years and became good friends. I will always remember her for her wonderful sense of humor and her "down to earth" understanding of life.
