Theodore Michael Valcanoff, aged 80, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord on Monday, November 21, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Helen, in April of 2010. Surviving are his daughter, Sandy (Rob) Scott; grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Kelbel, Nathan Scott; brothers, Robert (Natalie) Valcanoff, Carl (Arlene) Valcanoff; sisters-in-law, Evelyn(Gene) Haney, Alice Palda; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11a.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel with Rev. Verlyn Verbrugge officiating. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
