Winona was born on June 7, 1922 in Paris Township, Michigan. She married Robert V. Petersen in 1966. Winona worked for many years as an aircraft parts inspector. She was loving and caring and very hard working. She enjoyed spending her time gardening and especially loved fashion. She was always eager to go shopping, even for things she would end up giving away. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and she was a parishioner of Faith Lutheran Church for over 15 years.
She is survived by: her two children, William and Diana Muller; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her dear friends, Don and Cindy Nunn.
Winona is preceded in death by: her husband, Robert; her parents Fred and Mattie Heintzelman; and her sons, Virgil and Earl Seelye.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00am, at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Kevin Sullivan officiating. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Kentwood.
