Denzel Lee Jenkins

Denzel Lee Jenkins, 83, of Belton, MO passed away November 6, 2015. A Memorial Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Monday, November 9, 2015 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Rd, Grandview, Missouri. A Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2pm; Visitation 1-2pm; in Ash Grove, Missouri at Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home; Burial to follow at Ash Grove Cemetery. Denzel was born February 8, 1932 in Bois D’Arc, Missouri to William Edgar and Doris Floy Sallee Jenkins. During his 38 years in Belton, he once served as the 1st President of Lord of Love congregation. Denzel was an Air Force Veteran. He made his career as a field representative for Allied Signal in Kansas City Missouri, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed sports and cheering on his home town teams, the Royals & Chiefs; NASCAR racing and watching his favorite driver Jeff Gordon; cooking, gardening, landscaping and puttering around his yard.

Survived by wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Charyl Anderson; son, Terry Jenkins; step-sons, Jerry Trussel (Ann), Gary Killingsworth (Karri); brothers, Robert Jenkins (Paula), Mike Jenkins (Destea); sisters, Helen Comer (Donny Ray), Roberta Johnson (Tommy), Betty Gardner (Glenn); 30 grandchildren.
