peacefully at home.
Doug was born on May 13th, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was the son of the
late Duana Linville Dralus and the late Malcolm Linville. Doug was a lifelong
resident of the Kansas City area.
Doug served in the US Army and after discharge was employed in landscaping,
manufacturing and construction in a variety of capacities. He had a real talent
for landscape design and loved nature. Until his disability made it impossible,
his favorite hobby was disc golf and you could find him on the course every
Sunday. He was a strong and positive man who faced tremendous challenges
with a sense of humor and bravery.
He is survived by his partner of several years, Nola Stark, his sister Deborah
(Jeff) Arnswald of Boise, ID, nephew Jake Hanne of Los Angeles and several
cousins and aunts.
There will be a celebration of life scheduled for May 11th on Doug’s birthday
weekend. Information will be available later in the spring.
