

Lois Day, 89, Grandview, Mo., passed away February 5, 2011, at home. A Rosary will be at 6 p.m. and visitation will follow until 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Rd, Grandview. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at the Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington, Grandview. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. In Lieu of flowers contributions suggested to Southern Care Hospice, Corp. Office, 2204 Lake Shore Drive #574, Birmingham, AL 35209. Lois was born Dec. 13, 1921, to Martin and Kate Maskill Roach in Westmoreland, Kan. She lived most of her life in Grandview and was a member of Coronation of Our Lady Parrish. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as a Bookkeeper for several General Motor Dealerships spanning 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Clifford Day in 1982; brothers, Edmond Murray and John Roach; and sisters, Audrey Fairchild and Clara Coon. Lois was survived by her son, Bud Day and wife Pat, Grandview; granddaughter, Rachelle McBride and husband Vince, Peculiar, Mo.; grandson, Rodney Day and wife Jennifer, Raymore, Mo.; five great grandchildren, Morgan and Conner McBride, Trent, Tyler and Will Day; and sister, Mary Good, Topeka, Kan.
