Alan John Morren

Alan John Morren, age 67, went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 12, 2024. Al was preceded in death by his parents Elden and Ellamae Morren; sister-in-law, Karen (Joseph) Alcorns; and brother-in-law Robert Oudemolen. He will be remembered by his wife, Shelley Morren; children Douglas (Ana) Morren, Derrick (Julie) Morren, and Samantha Morren; grandchildren Matthew, Nathan, and McKenzie; sister, Barbara Van Der Zwaag; brother, Michael (Barbara) Morren; sister-in-law, Patricia (Michael) Lowe; brother-in-law, Joel (Brenda) Oudemolen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Al was born in Zeeland, Michigan to Elden and Ellamae Morren. His wife, Shelley, met him at the Zeeland Laundromat! Al worked for Tanis Trucking in Hudsonville. He loved golf, though not always doing as well as he wanted. He loved to travel, and he and other family members and friends had wonderful trips together. Al woke up in Heaven on Monday, August 12. He was a wonderful man.

Visitation with friends and relatives will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Alan’s life will commence at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at Bethany United Reformed Church, 5401 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
