Albert Schuitema

SCHUITEMA - Albert Schuitema, age 85, of Fremont, formerly of Wyoming Park, went peacefully in the night to be with his Lord Monday, January 15, 2007. Al worked for Lear-Siegler & Borgman Ford for many years and won many awards.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jim McCloud, his grandson, Rick Werts, brothers Dan and Joe Schuitema; brothers-in-law, Chic VanderHoff and Gabe Quakkelaar.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Geri Barnaby; his children, Sandy and Richard Werts, Cheryl McCloud, Cyndi and Robert Holstein, all of Newaygo, Al Jr. and Sheri Schuitema of Walker; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; his sister, Joanne VanderHoff Quakkelaar of Wyoming; sisters-in-law, Mae Schuitema of Wyoming and Valerie Schuitema.

Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie - East Building with Rev. Jeff Stam officiating. Visitation Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Grandville Chapel of Cook Funeral Home West Building.
