Anthony Mitchell Micele

MITCHELL MICELE - Mr. Anthony Mitchell, age 95, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Tony was a founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and had served as an usher. He also served as a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Pellerito Mitchell; his parents, Ignazio and Marianna Viola Micele; his sister, Martha Tony Palazzolo; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John, Sam, Jim, and Andrew Pellerito, Phillip Pell, Gloria Poll, Ann Lucchese, Josephine Impellizzeri, and Rose Lomonaco.

Surviving are his children, Marian Nick Noto of Grandville, Rosalie Ron Thomet of Lowell, Andrew Mitchell of Wyoming, and Carol Bob Hoogterp of Middleville; 16 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 8 great, great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Frank Dorothy Micele of Wyoming, Virginia Sam Stellini of Kentwood, Sam Mary Micele of Wyoming; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don Crystal Poll of Byron Center, Tony Beth Pellerito of Tekonsha, MI, Terry Pellerito of Grand Rapids, and Kate Pellerito of Rockford; and many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Margo Dilullo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, 11:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson SW, Grandville, with Rev. Chris Rouech presiding. Interment service will be at Resurrection Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet Tony’s family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building, 4235 Prairie SW and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass at church. A vigil service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Those unable to attend the visitation or funeral Mass may sign the family’s Memory Book at www.cookfuneralservices.com.

Contributions in memory of Tony may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
