Betty Harkema

HARKEMA - Betty Harkema age 78 of Byron Center went to be with her Lord Thursday, June 8, 2000. Preceded in death by her husband Oscar; son Richard Alan and sister Gertrude Blouw. She is survived by her daughter Bettelou Lloyd Hearn; grandchildren, Todd Alan Smits, Kristin Sheldon Bowling; great-granddaughter Bethany Lynn Bowling; sisters, Angeline DeBoer and Barbara Marvin VanderBand; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred Harkema, Rena Wolters, Sadie John Jonkers, Annette Al Lobbezoo, Harold Irene Harkema, Tena Gordon VanSingel and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church with Revs. Thomas K. Groelsema and Peter Ipema officiating. Interment Winchester Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday 7 to 9 and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home-Byron Center, 2067 84th Street.
