Bob Leroy Anderson

ANDERSON - Bob L. Anderson, age 72, of Dorr, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 after a short illness. Bob was a wonderful husband, father and friend who was loved and respected by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gareld and Gladys Anderson; his in-laws, Ernest and Emma Riebe; his daughter-in-law Debbie Anderson; his brother-in-law Martin Kaat; and his nephew Mike Kaat. Surviving are his wife of 52 years Grace; his children, Marc and Sally Anderson, Shane Sr. and friend Kim Wiley, and his daughter Kim Lemmink; his grandchildren, Melissa, Shawn, Joe, Shane Jr., Nate, Cody, Dani-Sue, Nick, Jessica, and Justin; his great grandchildren, David, Shea, and Jacob. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Kris Anderson; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Marian Glass and Bob and Millie Riebe; his nephew Carl and Nancy Kaat; his niece Mary Ruggles; and his good friends, John and Judy Benson Sr. and Dr. John and Donna Berends.

Bob worked for the railroad for 42 years and also owned and operated the Parkside Store at Silver Lake for 27 years. He bred and raised Arabian horses for 23 years. He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm, Saturday at the Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St SW - east building.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville west building.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Cancer Center.
