Brent A. Vander Kolk

VANDER KOLK Mr. Brent A. Vander Kolk, age 37, now rejoices in the presence of his Lord and Savior. Brent was born in Grand Rapids and was a lifelong resident of West Michigan. He had graduated from Hope College and Indiana University School of Law and was the founder, managing partner, and practicing attorney with the firm Vander Kolk and Vander Kolk PLC. His family and friends will remember him as an avid fisherman and IU basketball fan. He was a devoted husband and loving father and will be deeply missed by his wife, Jamie; sons, Grant and Beck; parents, Ivan and Mary Vander Kolk; brother and sister, Wayne (Shelley) Vander Kolk, and Sandy (Chris) LaGrand; nephews, Ivan and Eli Vander Kolk; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rod and Sharon Watts; brother-in-law, Adam Watts; and many friends and colleagues. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1 PM at Resurrection Life Church, 5100 Ivanrest SW, Grandville with Pastor Joe Tucker officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet his family Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Memorial Chapel (east building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville and Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of his service at church. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Brent may be made to the Grant and Beck Educational Fund.
