Bruce Stanley Frede

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Margaret Frede. He will be remembered by his wife, Carol Frede; three daughters Lisa Frede (John LaFontsee), Dawn (Jake Walter), Brittany Frede (Jesse Lawrence); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bruce was active in the Cadets program at church, volunteered with Feeding America often, and was a participant in Rock Steady Boxing for those living with Parkinson’s. He loved to take his boat out on any nearby lake, ride his snowmobile through the Poker Run, and take his many RC vehicles out for a spin. He built RC planes for many years and loved to fly them with his Warped Wings RC club. Bruce stopped to make friends with every golden retriever he met. He had many niche hobbies, but he mostly loved to boast about his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and anyone he adopted as family along the way.

Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 at Georgetown Christian Reformed Church, 6475 40th Ave., Hudsonville, MI 49426. Following will be a celebration of Bruce’s life at 3 p.m. Pastor Marc Nelesen will be officiating. In honor of Bruce and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or Rock Steady Boxing (rocksteadyboxing.org).
