Carl Bruce Cole

COLE - Mr. Carl B. Cole, age 84, went to be with his Lord Thursday, September 23, 1999, at Brookcrest Nursing Home in Grandville. Mr. Cole was born March 8, 1915, in Interlochen, the son of F. Bruce and Altha Davis Cole. He lived most of his life in Alma and Lakeview. He and his late wife Norma Ellison who died in 1993 were married for 55 years. they had wintered in Light and Life Camp in Lakeland, Florida for many years. Mr. Cole retired from Consumers Power Company. He is survived by daughters, Pat Cole of Waukesha, WI, Alice John Eckert of Six Lakes, Wanda Ed Gray of Kalamazoo, son Albert Mary Lou Cole of Grandville, 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Arlene Van Brocklin, Enid Ghering and Betty Robbins of Traverse City; brothers, Cal Cole of Traverse City and Jack Cole of Travares, FL. He was preceded in death by sisters Altha, Violet and Burdella. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 1999, at the Free Methodist Church in Lakeview, MI with Rev.
