Caroline B. Dekker

DEKKER - Caroline Blanche Nederhoed Dekker, age 76, of Grandville, who believed in God’s salvation thru his son Jesus, passed into glory on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 from complications of Pneumonia.

She was the last remaining member of the Joseph and Alice Nederhoed family and was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur, John, and Donald; and sisters, Teresa and Gladys.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years Adrian; her children, Judith Jerry Prins of Holland, Barbara Mark Gardner of Kentucky, and Alice Paul Bell of Wyoming; her grandsons, Jeff Prins of Holland and Scott Powell of Georgia; her very dear friends, Steve Cindy Lane and family of Alexandria, PA, Mark Debbie Young and family of Chassell, MI, and Lucy Bernard and family of Renton, WA; and many others she loved to call her children and grandchildren.

They gave her much joy.

The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St SW - east building.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville west building.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial gifts be sent to the Zion Reformed Church Youth Group, c/o Mr. Eric Peterson, 4457 - 36th St., Grandville, MI 49418.
