To Chris's Family Chris and I have known each other since the 1980's when we both worked on data products projects at the then Lear Siegler here in Grand Rapids. The thing I remember the most about Chris is his friendly smile and quick wit. I last saw him in July at Mike Bird's retirement coffee and he made me laugh. A good thing to, because I had just been layed off again by that company now GE. So, I have nothing but good memories of a friend and co-worker whom I will sorely miss, though I have no doubt that he is now in a better place.

Dear Sue and Family, How sad we are for you all as we learn of Chris' passing. His ready smile and wit, ever willing spirit to help at the Corp or anywhere, faithfulness in all things will be greatly missed by everyone. Our last dinner together at Bay Harbor Yacht Club is a very fond memory we'll hold of both of you. God bless you and hold you in His hands as you face the future is our prayer. I was saddened at the news of Chris' passing. I had been a close coworker with Chris for over 20 years. Like many other people I will always remember Chris' quick sense of humor and his genuine laughter - that alone could make one smile. Although a few years ago I moved on to another part of GE Aviation and did not see Chris as often I never forgot him. He will be missed.

Dear Susie, It is hard to begin because the suddenness makes this seem unreal, but we want you to know our sympathy for your loss and that our thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow as everyone says good-bye and celebrates Chris' life. I remember visiting as a child and how excited he was to show us his Ham radio set-up in the basement and how he could talk to people all over the world with it. My deepest sympathy to the Hagen family. Chris was one of the smartest programmers I have ever known. His analytical skills and technical engagement allowed us to complete some very tough schedules during the development of algorithms used to advance data recorder technology. When things got difficult and discussions deviated from the norm, Chris would inject one of his many witticisms. The levity always brought things back into focus for the team. Your loss is also ours. May you also find peace in the memories which we share.
