To my dear cousins, a wonderful aunt Sadie, and beloved mother: You have my sincere sympathy and love. I too am very sorry that I cannot be there to greet and hug you as I am in Arizona with John and Rosemary. Uncle Case will be dearly missed, and I thank God for all he did and gave, especially his time and care for my mother and her special three youngest children. Yesterday, I felt on my heart something was not right. I asked a friend from Sturgis to look up the obituaries. Today I looked it up myselves. I am very sorry to notice that my friend, Casey, passed away. I met Casey in April 2002, for Student Exchange. Some of you might remember I think Sadie does. After that, we kept in touch and regularly had good talks varying from common life issues to talks about faith in Jesus Christ. I will miss Casey.. I cannot believe that I will never see him online again. Casey, I hope to meet you in heaven, I love you friend.. God blesses you as family and friends. That He may offer you the strength you need in hard times like these.

Sadie, I am sorry to hear that Kees passed away. He was always good natured and had his special comic way to write his email. I am glad we saw you last November.  Onze oprechte deelneming met het overlijden van oom Kees. Wat een prachtige film hebben jullie gemaakt ,een hele mooie terugblik op zijn leven. Ik herinner me hem ook als een man die erg van reizen hield en van mensen en gezelligheid. Hij kon goed vertellen en heel leuk schrijven, veel humor. Dear family and Sadie, We were shocked and saddened to read about casey in the obituaries. We lived next door to him on Bryant st. for several years. We have a lot of wonderful memories of Casey and Sadie. We had many good laughs over the fence, and he practically watched our kids grow up. We really missed living next door after we moved to Jenison. We are so sorry we were not able to come to the visitation or funeral. Just please know that you have been and are in our thoughts and prayers. Casey was always very good to us and our kids. He and Sadie also took my mom and I when she visited from California to a concert by a dutch qchoir from the netherlands. My mom had a dutch background also. Sadie and family just think of us putting our arms around you and a big hug. May our Heavenly Father give you grace in this time of loss. Dear Daddy,
 It's been 3 years and 4 months since you left us to be with Jesus. My heart is still heavy with sadness. I miss you so much. Sadie still lives at Auroa Pond surrounded by the memories of your time together. Your wooden shoes still at the door. I miss coming over to visit, our talks, telling you whats going on in my life and your words of wisdom. You are in my thougts daily. Sadie still drives by 847 Bryant to feel close to you and clings to the memories you shared. Dad, I look forward to the day when we see eachother again. I find comfort knowing your not in pain anymore, your with our Lord and Savior and with mom. You must be all caught up now and watching over us. Your missed her on earth so much.
