David W. Zerfas

David W. Zerfas, age 49, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, July 14, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Zerfas. David will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Doris Zerfas (Steffes); his brothers, Paul (Rebecca) Zerfas, Andrew (Irene) Zerfas; his niece and nephew, Isabelle and William Zerfas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. David's life passion was photography. David graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Grand Valley State University. He attended the Dominican Seminary in Denver and also in St. Louis.

A time for guests to visit with his family will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Friday, July 22 at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 23 at St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th St. In honor of David, contributions may be made to the University of Michigan Transplant House or St. Mary's Visitation -Educational Trust Fund.
