Dawn L. Porter (Boetsma)

PORTER (BOETSMA) Dawn L. Porter, age 77, passed away and went to live with her Lord, Friday, April 11, 2014. Dawn was a lifetime member of Sunset Park Church of God in Wyoming in which she was very involved in many activities. She became a Christian at age 13. Her interests were reading, watching small children in her home and the love of her life was being with her family. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Scotty Porter and her brother, Ron Boetsma.

Dawn is survived by her children, Cindy (Michael) Miller-Hood, Bryan Porter, Scott Porter, Kenneth Porter; her ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings, George Chapman, Janice (Lawrence) Scott, Betty (Andres) Franco and her nieces and nephews. The family welcomes relatives and friends to visit from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 16, at Sunset Park Church of God with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Rev. Paul Myers will be officiating.
