Deb was the kind of mom and grandma who made sure her family was always supported and deeply loved. She had a quick wit, a strong spirit, and a heart that gave endlessly.
After 20 years working in transportation for Wyoming Public Schools, she retired and stepped fully into her favorite role: grandma. Whenever she could, she traveled to Texas, Alaska, and Rhode Island to visit family and friends. She never missed a chance to show up for those she loved.
Her presence was powerful, her love was fierce, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local school district or to West Michigan’s Stuff the Bus drive (https://www.hwmuw.org/stuff-the-bus).
The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
