Don Anderson was treasured as a Uncle and a family friend. I fondly recall as a young kid how he would visit his Brother's family (Bernard and Audrey Anderson) every Christmas to see all of us kids and share a little Christmas cheer. In the summer during family picnics on occasion we enjoyed water skiing and swimming from his boat at Gun Lake. 
 As an adult he traveled to Alabama to visit me while I was on temporary duty at Gunter Annex while serving in the Air Force. He also made a point to visit Oklahoma City to visit my family and enjoy a dinner at the Olive Garden. He also at that time graced some of our newly assigned Tinker Air Force Base Airmen with a quick visit to discuss his experiences of Naval service and to wish them well as they began service to our country. 
 Uncle Don then honored our family when he traveled joining other family members alongside my family during my retirement from the Air Force. That was just a short 18 months ago. We discussed future plans for visits and I had spoken to him not more than two months ago. 
 God had greater plans. Our family grieves his loss but celebrates his life and all that he accomplished. He was well traveled and loved by many. He is loved and will be missed by our family.

Like Uncle Don, President John F. Kennedy served in the US Navy. Over 50 years ago, President Kennedy coined the word "sticktoitiveness."
 Sticktoitiveness personified Uncle Don. He was 17 when he joined the Navy, and in battle, like JFK, helped us win WWII in the South Pacific -- with energy, intelligence, fearlessness and guts.
 Later, Uncle Don's sticktoitiveness and resolve helped grow a magnificent family, a wonderful business, and a unique legacy which will always serve as an inspiration. 
 Uncle Don sold steel and it is steel which best described his character a�" resilient and tough, yet tempered and flexible. 
 Uncle Don was a leader in life, and made a difference, a BIG difference. He will be missed. We will never forget Uncle Don.

I had the privilege of knowing Don not only as a friend, but as a trusted supplier in the tool and die business during the 1980 - 90's. Men with his character, professionalism, and integrity are few and far between. I was also a close friend to David and will always cherish the memories we shared. I had the privilege to be part of the Anderson family and call him Grandpa Anderson for 10 years. He was a kind and caring person to everyone and to my family. I remember talking about Golf, football and baseball and other things that were going on in the world when he came over for holidays and dinners. He will be missed and always in my heart. Now he can rest in peace with others before him in his life to tell them stories and get to hold and meet his Great grandchildren Brady & Meagan. Rest in Peace Grandpa!

Don & I started to do things together 1935/6at Walker Station. We went to Mission Cov. Church(Swedish) on Sunday, thanks to a farmer, Clarence Carlson, picked us up.Also Don & I worked at the Reed farm, cultivating, etc.Nora Reed was our Dad's cousin. We were paid by receipt of vegetables for family.Same period I played ball on Sunday & Don would retrieve foul balls. Mel Johnson, mgr. would give Don a quarter.-later Don played for him.O.K Merchants. Don & I stayed with Boy Scouts-Eagles & Scoutmasters.Role model was M. Lester Cooke.On a Sunday we would "thumb" a ride to city limits(W. Leonard) For a dime we would get on a streetcar ,go downtown,transfer to North Park/Soldier's Home. We would visit Grandma Hannah Anderson there. She then "paraded" us down the hall to show-her Grandsons

Kim & I are truly saddened by Mr. Anderson's passing. He truly was an amazing person. He was always so kind and considerate to us that we always welcomed seeing him at every opportunity. He touched so many lives and Mr. Anderson's memory will always remain deep within our hearts.

I am honored to be the eldest cousin in the Anderson Clan. ........ 65 years young! My Dad is Chuck, Uncle Don's oldest brother. 
 I feel like a chapter of my life has ended as my Dad, Uncle Art, Uncle Don's families did a lot together in my childhood days. I remember doing the dishes at the sink with Aunt Lynn, spending numerous weekend days over at their place having picnics and playing with Kris and Sue Ellen in their bedroom. Aunt Lynn was like a sister to my Mom; and our entire family, Gayle, Mark were very close to Uncle Don and his family. Those times are among the very special times of my childhood that I will always remember. 
 In later years, Uncle Don had been a great comfort to my Dad. They were loving buddies. They even double dated !!!! How about that !!!!
 I wish that I lived closer so that I could give Uncle Don's entire family loving hugs. Kris, Sue, Dan know that my heart and prayers are with all of you and yours at this time. Love, Linda

My "big" brother Don will be missed by all of his remaining siblings. We all hve great memories of him. Don was the fourth son of eleven boys. I happened to be the first girl and he always introduced me as his 'older" sister, which was correct as we have one sister younger than I. He had a great sense of humor, loved and raised a beautiful family who will miss him. 
 Looking forward to meeting up again with him one day!
