Don was the kindest person, always concerned with your welfare, and when he talked to you...he looked you in the eye, a trait not often seen anymore. Don was a good friend, and we shared many memories over the years. We're just sad we couldn't make it back to town for the visitation, but the memories will live on. We will miss him, and wish our deepest condolences to the whole extended family. Don was a good person, and he shared his Christianity by his example as well as his words. He will be missed. Dear Cook Family:
 I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I have always thought of him as a very kind, honest and personable man. Nearly every time I went out to Barlow Lake, I saw Don walking his dog and we'd exchange smiles and a friendly wave. In the evenings, you could almost always see Don and Donna out fishing on the lake.
 I don't know if fishing is allowed in Heaven, but if so, I'll bet Don has already had his pole in the water. 
 I will keep you all in my prayers as you get through this difficult time.

My wife Dianna and my dad Dick Overmire were very sorry to hear of his death. My dad Dick had him and Ron as students at Wyoming Park Schools. I will miss our talks about fishing on Barlow when I would bring fish to him for the fishing contest on the lake as well as his smile to greet us as we would drive to our cottage in area one when he was outside working. May God be with you and family during this sad time as well as celebration of his live on earth.

Donna and family, I am so sorry to learn of Don's death. He was a wonderful Christian example to his family, extended family, and the many kids who looked up to him at the little Bowen's Mill Chapel.
