Donald R. Snyder

Don was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on December 5, 1929 to the late Bernard and Ruth Snyder. Don graduated from Creston High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country proudly overseas. Following his service to his country, Don worked for many years as a salesman for companies which included Electro-Voice and Custom Communications. Don’s greatest love and enjoyment in life was fishing and sharing that love with others.

He is survived by his sons Donald Snyder, Craig Snyder, Timothy Snyder and David Snyder; grandchildren Anthony Achimasi, Theodore Achimasi, Christopher Snyder, Stephen Snyder, and Reese Eckenrod-Snyder; great-grandchildren Kimberly Achimasi, Timothy Achimasi, Luke Achimasi, Ethan Achimasi and Hudson Snyder; sisters Beverly Snyder and Carol (Stan) Ciolk; and niece Stacy, and nephews Jeff, Dan, and Adam.

The family would like to thank the staff of Byron Center Manor for their wonderful care.

Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. A private service will be held at a later date.

If desired, memorial donations may be made in memory of Donald Snyder to the Blandford Nature Center where Don spent many hours volunteering and passing on his love of nature and fishing.
