Donna Chaffee Young

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don L. and Blanche Chaffee; and her brother Roger B. Chaffee.

Donna is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard; children David W. Chris Pequet of Hinsdale, IL, Dale A. Young of Wyoming, and Debra J. Young of Hudsonville; grandchildren, David E. Pequet, Matthew D. Pequet, James A. Young and Lauren E. Young; niece Cheryl Marshall; and nephew Steven Chaffee.

Donna was the secretary and historian for the Roger B. Chaffee Scholarship Fund and the curator for the Jenison Historical Society. She was very active in both organizations. She also enjoyed her annual travels to various parts of the world.

A Memorial Service celebrating Donna’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 13, at 7 p.m. from the Cook Memorial Chapel east building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville, with Rev. James Wittenberger officiating.

The family will meet with relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jenison Historical Association, Roger B. Chaffee Scholarship Fund or Hospice of Holland.
