What totally pleasant memories I have of Dorothy! We probably met when we were too young to remember but the first I remember was when her family came up to Saskatchewan, Canada. I remember playing hide and seek in our grandparents yard in the dark! Oodles of cousins- what fun! 
 In 1952 my family of 10 visited them in a Mich. town on our way to NY. Again it was playing outside and sneaking around in a neighbor's yard when we heard a loud wrap on the windowand looked up to see this angry woman's face glaring at us, shaking he finger and telling us to get off of her property! How terrified we were. She probably was prepared to call the police to save her from this hoard of 11 uncontrolled kids.
 Later, brave Dorothy agreed to run up to her door, knock and yell " Hello Crabapple" or some such name, and then run away! Isn't it hard to believe quiet Dorothy would do such! I also remember being awed and envious of her because she could loop one leg over a high bar and then revolve her whole body round and round on that bar. I tried and was a total failure.
 Years later, I visited Uncle Keith and Aunt Cora's home and we 5 girl cousins all slept in one room. Doroty put on a huge stack of 45 "records" - does anyone remember such?- and everyone fell asleep except me. I was not used to any noise while sleeping and only after the last one dropped down and finished did I fall asleep.
 There are scads of memories after I moved to OH and would go up to MI for holidays and summer breaks. I remember the 'Osage Oranges" Merle brought home for her to cook and he finally threw them out because he never got a pie!
 I think of the unbelievably smooth quiet ride Merel gave me on his big motor bike. With a helmet on, it did not seem like we were going very fast and so I peaked over his shoulder and saw the needle on 80 MPH! I was so impressed.
 Dorothy's house was always so warmly decorated for Christmas. I also remember staying with her while raising support and they could see that I basically had one dress so all we ladies went shopping and they bought me a lovely dress that I can still picture to this day!
 Thanks for all the memories! Now I hope to soon see Dorothy and share with wonder and awe all the great things God has done for us. Heaven is getting more attractive every day!

Dorothy has and will always hold a special place in my heart and my life. As a young mom attending church she was my mentor and helped me in more ways than she knew. But she helped me the most when I became a paraplegia. She visited me everyday in the hospital, lifted me up as I sunk into depression and prayed me thru that time. She inspired me. I love you. Your daughters should be very proud of your life tesimony.
